Resources

Can tutoring help you? Yes. Tutoring can be beneficial to any and every student we just need to find the best way to support your individual needs. Below you will find various articles about how tutoring can benefit you and various ways a student of any background can be supported.

In my own education I have always been stubbornly committed to understanding why things work the way they do. It's a big reason I ended up focusing on Math, Physics and Advocacy and I apply this need to know why things work to my tutoring. My approaches are validated in The Seattle Times Claire Bryans' article "How two local tutoring groups are helping students catch up in math" which highlights the need for new ways to teach math. One of the tutoring groups uses one of the same resources I do for working with students Khan Academy which covers basically all subjects for K-12. Resources like this one alongside tutoring support ensure students not only learn the answers to "how do I do this?" but also "why does this work?"
